BRING THE SUBMARINE EXPERIENCE TO YOUR HOME

Booking

Restaurante Submarino has the OCEANCOOK© collection of ceramic tableware, created by the Fundación Oceanogràfic and the design firm Cookplay in collaboration with Muñoz Bosch.

OCEANCOOK© is much more than tableware

It is a work that unites art, science and conservation. Each piece is inspired by endangered marine species of the Mediterranean – such as the mosaic ray (Raja undulata), the rough ray (Raja radula) and the butterfly ray (Gymnura altavela) – and reproduces with organic and minimalist forms the essence of their movement and fragility. The collection also incorporates a tribute to the seahorse.

Thanks to the tomography scans carried out by the Oceanogràfic's veterinary team, real 3D models were obtained that served as the basis for the design of the pieces, made of high-strength porcelain. This collaboration combines the scientific rigour of Dr Daniel García Párraga, Director of Zoological Operations at the Oceanogràfic in Valencia, with the artistic vision of Ana Roquero, founder of Cookplay.

€1 of the RRP will go to the Oceanogràfic Foundation and its research and conservation projects in the marine environment.
The tableware can also be purchased in the physical stores of the Oceanogràfic during their usual hours.

Flat plates (36,4×28,9×2,7cm) inspired by the mosaic ray (Raja undulata), an endangered marine species of the Mediterranean.

Deep plates (31,6×24,8×4,6cm) with a design that pays homage to the rough ray (Raja radula).

Dessert set (31,4×21,8×1,8cm) inspired by the biodiversity of the Mediterranean and the butterfly ray (Gymnura altavela).

This set of 2 bread plates (19.5 x 13 x 2.5 cm) is inspired by the delicacy of stripes, with soft lines reminiscent of their flapping under the sea.

Set of 2 trays (8.9×8.9x1cm) that pay tribute to the seahorse. Ideal for serving small bites or as decorative elements, these pieces combine art, science and marine conservation.
